About Zambelli Handpan
The handpan, born in Switzerland in 2000s, made by masters of Steelpan, is an evolution of this already known instrument also called steel drum (percussion instrument native of Trinidad, made from old metal bins appropriately modified with cavities of various sizes that, played with special mallets, produces different sounds depending on which blow cavity you’re striking).
Zambelli Handpan stems from the desire to make a particular type of Handpan that differs (for materials, manufactoring technique and aesthetic details) from the instrument made in Switzerland.
Various studies and several tests of processing methods have led Zambelli Handpan to a crystal, melodic and clear sound.
Our instruments are resistant to wear, thanks to the processes and heat treatments we submit them during manufacturing.
The instrument has a diameter of 54 cm, height of 28 cm and a weight of 3.9 Kg.
To date, we are satisfied of the work done, but our studies and researches go on.
P. S . : the original Zambelli Handpan are identified with the mark engraved on the bottom shell , as you can see in the photos and video on the site .
